Join Sacred Circle Homestead for a step-by-step workshop on how to make tasty and probiotic sauerkraut and other ferments right in your own home! We will be discussing the beneficial aspects of culturing and fermenting your own food in the environment you live in, as well as demonstrating the simple step-by-step process of making these ferments.
The consumption of fermented foods has been around for millennia, and people all over the world have their own traditions of doing it. This has continued to be a tradition for many reasons, but in a world of food convenience and prepackaged foods, at home fermentation has started to go by the wayside. The benefits of fermenting your food at home are many, including it’s good for you, and not to mention it’s cheaper than buying it at the store! The process is so simple, you don’t need any special tools or exotic ingredients, and you can ferment just about any vegetable.
Suggested donation is a sliding scale of $5-$15. There will be samples to taste and a comprehensive discussion and Q&A to ensure folks feel comfortable to do this at home by themselves! Please RSVP by clicking the button below and filling out the form, or by contacting us!
